Local 41 IBEW FCU is a single sponsored credit union with just over 10 million in assets that offers personal financial services to approximately 2,500 members.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the Credit Union and will meet these requirements:
•High school diploma or an equivalent certificate AND a degree (Associates required, Bachelors preferred or proof of equivalent experience)
•1-2 years supervisory or management experience in a financial institution or retail environment
•Human resource management
•Employee development and training experience
•Customer service experience in a financial institution or retail environment
•Previous teller or cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment
•Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
•Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with the Compushare Systems is a PLUS.
Must possess the following abilities:
•To multitask effectively
•To supervise and train staff
•To use all standard office equipment including an adding machine, keyboard, computer, multi-line telephone, fax machine, and copier
•To read, understand and interpret documents and procedure manuals
•To perform basic mathematical functions, accurately perform calculations and transactions using US currency
•To communicate effectively with all types of personalities with members in a friendly, positive and professional manner
•To attend training seminars and meetings (occasional evenings and/or Saturdays)to keep abreast of regulatory changes and new services within the Credit Union movement
|Duties:||•To work with and communicate effectively with Federal Regulators (NCUA), auditors, volunteers, committee members, attorneys, vendors, sales persons, members of our sponsor group and other key representatives that the Credit Union does business with|
•To solve problems following the Credit Union policy & procedures
•To perform the daily bank run and other errands (post office, office supplies, etc…)
•To perform accounting / bookkeeping functions to include, but not limited to, reconciling bank accounts, balancing general ledger accounts, and depreciation/accrual schedules
•To monitor, review and approve incoming invoices (A/P)
•To compile data & reports needed for board, credit committee, and supervisory committee meetings, as well as, the annual member shareholder meeting,
•To forsee necessary improvements internally for the staff and externally for the members
•To process daily EFT reports,
•To review staff time sheets and report payroll to ADP
•To handle all aspects of Credit Union investments and member CD’s
•To monitor delinquency and contact members involving collection on debts
•To keep current with, and write, effective policies and procedures to coincide with all state and federal regulations
*To work up and disburse loans according to CU policies.
•To read and follow regulatory notices including, but not limited to, restraining notices, garnishments, and subpoenas
•To complete and process the quarterly NCUA Call Report
•To handle all aspects of the Credit Unions website, including enrolling, unlocking, e-statements, etc…
•To maintain adequate office supplies, applications and regulatory products
•To research current industry related topics for composing of the quarterly Credit Union newsletter
•To perform staff cash drawer counts
•To print out all member statements (monthly and quarterly)
•To handle all aspects of marketing of the Credit Union services
•To cross sell all services offered by the Credit Union
•To respond to members requests, problems and complaints
•To process the daily, monthly, quarterly and year end closings
•To report the monthly credit bureau listing
•To process all regulatory reporting requirements following regulations and procedures: including but not limited to bi-weekly Fin-Cen and OFAC reports; the annual abandoned property reports;
* To follow and comply with all record retention requirements
•To process the quarterly Data Matches reporting
•To follow, enforce and regulate all aspects of BSA
•To open new accounts
•To approve and keep track of the staff vacation schedule
•To complete staff annual reviews
•To process stop payments within the computer and Corporate website
* To process wire transfers through corporate CU
•To order copies of member checks
•To process Visa payments & reports
•To handle all aspects of IRA accounts and reporting
*Answer phones, process correspondance & file
•* To perform job duties of all other Credit Union personnel to cover for vacations, absences and lunch breaks
* This is a partial list. The Manager is required to perform any and all job duties assigned by the board of directors.
|Qualifications:||Previous experience with a financial institution for at least 2 years is required. Previous experience working within a Credit Union is preferred. Must have knowledge of Rules & Regulations of the NCUA. |
Degree requirement in a financial area (accounting, business, etc...) Associates Degree required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
This full time (++) salaried position requires the ability to work the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
9:00 am – 5:30 pm
10:30 am - 6:30 pm
The Office Manager must attend the monthly board meetings (4 pm - ??) and the Annual Member Share Holder Meeting (6 pm - 9 pm) and must be available during the weekly Credit Committee Meetings (4 pm - ??) and quarterly Supervisory Committee meetings (5:15 - ??).
The Credit Union is only closed on the following paid holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
** Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day and Veterans Day are NOT paid holidays for the Credit Union.
The Credit Union is open half days on following: the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. The Managers shift for these days is 9 am - 1:30 pm.
