Description:FIRST NEW YORK FCU, a community chartered federal credit union, seeks a highly motivated COMPLIANCE OFFICER to coordinate the credit unionís overall compliance with applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements. This position requires a well-organized, detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently. Candidate must have knowledge of OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act.
Duties:Among other job functions, duties and responsibilities include:

* Monitor and analyze developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance laws, advise management of the operations impact of such trends and changes, and facilitate implementation of new and regulatory changes as necessary.

* Review, revise and develop credit union forms, contracts, agreements and disclosures to ensure compliance.

* Coordinate compliance training to effectively address rules and regulations.

* Act as OFAC Coordinator, including administering and updating the written OFAC policy. Oversees the bi-weekly FinCEN 314(a) match process and annual FinCEN 314(b) Voluntary Information Sharing process. Act as the appointed Compliance Officer and the Credit Union Information Security Officer.
Qualifications:Position requires a 4 yr. college degree or at least 5 years of related experience in a financial institution compliance position.

Excellent analytical ability and the ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations.
