SUMMARY
The Application Developer applies software development expertise and business knowledge to enhance and maintain business systems under the direction of a more senior team member. Also provides support for production applications.

| Duties: | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and others as assigned:
 Interacts with team members and designated personnel from other departments to develop project specifications.
 Implements a project timetable for designing, coding and testing programs. Coordinates the delivery of tasks.
 Develops program specifications, designs and maintains program code adhering to the project schedule.
 Verifies the accuracy and security of program code and the confidentiality of data by conforming to departmental standards for testing and file backup.
 Maintains a working knowledge of data structures; Familiar with the impact on storage requirements, efficiency, and ease of maintenance and speed of execution.
 Analyzes technical advances and changes in the data processing industry and exercises that knowledge in the delivery of duties.
 Collaborates with data processing professionals within other companies to test and implement systems.
 Develops and maintains accurate and appropriate application documentation in accordance with published department procedures.
 Supports, maintains and enhances production systems according to assigned work.
 Applies strong problem solving abilities to resolve production problems. Delivers clear and timely communications regarding identified problems following current procedures and guidelines.
 Cross trains under the guidance of senior technical staff members.
 Assists in the development, implementation and testing of the Information Systems department business continuation plans (BCP).
 Takes an active role in personal professional development.

| Qualifications: | QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  A minimum of five years of object-oriented software development experience is required.
 Experience using several of the following development/database tools is required: Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio.NET, C#, ASP.NET, IIS, SQL Reporting Services (MSRS) and Microsoft SQL Server.
 Experience with UML (Unified Modeling Language), entity/relationship diagramming, and/or object-oriented analysis and design is a plus.
 Experience using several of the following development/database tools is a plus: Java, Javascript, JDBC, HTML, XML, Crystal Reports, Oracle RDBMS, Apache Web Server and Visual Basic.
 Experience developing application software for the financial industry is a plus.
 A working knowledge of Microsoft SQL databases and IIS is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor�s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, five years or more related experience. Individual should possess interpersonal, organizational and time management skills along with experience working in a team environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required. Technical certifications are a plus.
